As a lifelong student of everything related to dynamic wellbeing and health, I started my journey as an ACE certified Personal Trainer. My interest in the mind body connection led me to study yoga, qigong and yoga therapy.
I am fortunate to have studied with some masterful teachers over the last two decades and have accrued over 500 hours of teacher training with Beryl Bender Birch, David Swenson, Pattabhi Jois, Ganga White, Tracey Rich, Desiree Rumbaugh, Todd Norian, Betsey Downing, Martin Kirk , Lee Albert, Robert Peng and most recently Bob Cooley and the Genius of Flexibility team. They have all influenced my own personal practice and my teaching and I will always be grateful for the wisdom and guidance they shared.
It is my joy to to share the ideas, philosophies and alignment methods I have found healing and transformational, with others. The class format is a slow, alignment-based flow that blends yoga, resistance flexibility, Qigong and energy medicine practices. This unique blend of techniques releases chronic tension and stagnation in the body and enhances the energetic flow and balance through the entire system. The atmosphere in class is warm and welcoming with individuals focused on their own practice and healing. By balancing the physical practice with focus on breath and alignment, the mind clears and the spirit can dance.
I strive to align my life off the mat with the principles I teach on the mat. In doing so, I hope to live my life with more grace, so that I can be the best mom, wife, daughter, friend and teacher I can be.
